On June 27, the "Year of Investment in China" National Economic and Technological Development Zones special promotion and the 10th "Top 500 Development Zone Dialogue" event, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the Jiangsu Provincial Government and undertaken by the Nanjing Municipal Government, the Investment Promotion Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce and the Provincial Department of Commerce, was held in Nanjing Jiangning Economic and Technological Development Zone. Leaders of over 130 national level economic development zones, executives of over 200 well-known multinational enterprises, and representatives of international organizations and key business associations gathered together to discuss industrial opportunities and investment prospects.

At present, there are a total of 230 national level economic development zones in China, gathering over 4 million enterprises, including more than 30000 foreign-invested enterprises. The park economy has become an important engine for local development, and foreign investment has become an active factor in promoting industrial development. Jiangning Economic Development Zone has introduced 100 of the world's top 500 investment enterprises, fostered 58 listed enterprises, and formed four hundred billion level innovation industrial clusters of green smart cars, smart grids, new generation information technology, and high-end intelligent equipment. The Gross regional product is close to 200 billion yuan, and its comprehensive development level has ranked among the top ten national economic development zones for seven consecutive years.

The widespread consensus among more and more multinational corporations is that 'investing in China, the first choice is economic development'. Wang Ya, Deputy Director of the Foreign Investment Department of the Ministry of Commerce, stated that the national level economic development zones have provided low-cost infrastructure sharing, high-quality production factor combinations, comprehensive industrial supporting services, and a first-class business environment for global investors to land projects in China. China's ultra large market has great growth potential, diverse supply and demand, and high openness. For many multinational corporations and global investors, investing in China is not an option, but a necessary option.
