Changzhou Wujin National HI-Tech Industrial Zone is located in the south wing of Changzhou, close to the beautiful West Taihu Lake and Changzhou Science and Education City, the core of innovation in the city. It was approved by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province in March 1996 and upgraded to a national high-tech zone by The State Council in August 2012. The planned control area is 182 square kilometers, and 19 communities and 14 administrative villages are under the jurisdiction of Wujin High-tech Industrial Development Zone. By the end of 2015, the park has successfully introduced more than 6,000 enterprises from more than 20 countries and regions, with 19 projects invested by the world's top 500 companies and 12 listed enterprises, becoming one of the attractive and innovative development zones in the Yangtze River Delta region. In 2015, Wujin National High-tech Zone fully started the construction of national innovative characteristic park; Wujin Comprehensive free Trade Zone successfully passed the joint acceptance; The Jiangsu Intellectual Property Demonstration Park was successfully listed and the National intellectual Property Pilot Park was successfully approved. Wujin National High-tech Zone electronic information (new electronic components) industry won the title of national new industrialization Demonstration base.
