Changzhou Wujin National HI-Tech Industrial Zone is located in the south wing of Changzhou, close to the beautiful West Taihu Lake and Changzhou Science and Education City, the core of innovation in the city. It was approved by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province in March 1996 and upgraded to a national high-tech zone by The State Council in August 2012. The planned control area is 182 square kilometers, and 19 communities and 14 administrative villages are under the jurisdiction of Wujin High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
